Attitude Is A Little Thing That Makes A Big Difference

Founded by Mr.Manikavasagam & Mrs.Ponnuthai in the year of 1990’ The establishment of Sri Devi Vidhyalaya was a personal necessity. Mr.Manickavasagam who was working as a headmaster in a special school got transferred to Gangavalli, a rural area where 90 % of the population had no literacy background. He found no school offered the education what he expected for his own son. As a parent we always wish our children to be educated well with good moral values. So there is no fault in his expectation too. Thus emerged the idea of beginning his own school. Being a teacher by profession he found no difficulty in rendering a quality education. But the hardship was finding resources like land and funds to run an institution. With enormous support from his better half Mrs. Ponnuthai who has been the backbone of the institution from the day one to till this date, Sri Devi was set up in a small area with no great infrastructure. The people of the village were given a new perspective of education which they had never seen before. Gradually the name Sri Devi attained its popularity for quality education. Year after year the growth of the institution flourished.

This was not attained very easily. To reach this height the two great souls had undergone numerous hardships. Luckily God did not allow them to face the hardships alone; they had an amazing team of staff members to support them as their family all throughout their journey.

Thus this institution was founded to cultivate and educate our next generation with love.
